The town of Baden (www.baden.fr) lies between sea and countryside, nearby the FERM'H cottages are situated only 300 meters from the coast. Come and discover this jewel in southern Brittany on the Gulf of Morbihan (www.golfedumorbihan.fr and www.golfe360.com).
12,000 hectares of Atlantic sea swell into the Morbihan Gulf in southern Brittany creating a true inland sea. A magical place where sea, land, sky mingle in changing landscapes.
The "Mor-Bihan," means "little sea" in Breton, it was invaded by the waters of the Atlantic several millennia ago, after the rivers had already dug their beds. Consequently the ocean ventures far into the heart of the land from Vannes to Auray, it encloses the ancient hills creating islands: Ile aux Moines, Ile d'Arz, and countless smaller islands and islets; often inhabited by a fishing village or simply flocks of birds (www.tourism-vannes.com).
A haven of peace and tranquility, FERM'H is a set of five renovated cottages, decorated in a contemporary style, adjacent to the operational Lairmarc'h farm. The regional and rural character of the buildings has been preserved and harmoniously combined with current eco-friendly architecture. The original use of each cottage is revealed through their names: the barn, the shed, the stable, the attic and the granary.
Summer or winter, the FERM'H is the ideal site to discover the Gulf of Morbihan: walking the coastal path (GR 34 - www.randobreizh.org/SentiersGR34) which passes close to the cottages, cycling through the small coastal roads or sailing - for experienced sailors, boat rental and boat tours of the Gulf cruise from the pier of Port-Blanc, only 1 km away (www.anne-caseneuve.com), Novice sailors can be instructed at the Baden Yacht Club (www.baden.fr).
Come and stay as you please, with friends, family or in groups, for a week or fortnight throughout the year, mid-week booking can also be made outside the summer period (June-September).
